Accessibility

At https://www.europiaproject.eu, our mission is to provide equal opportunities in accessing information to all users, regardless of their abilities or devices. To achieve this, we have implemented a number of measures following the recommendations of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and its Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) program. This report details the specific actions we have taken to improve the accessibility of our website and how these measures benefit our users.

Compliance with Accessibility Standards

We have worked diligently to comply with the accessibility standards defined in WCAG 2.0 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) set by the W3C. As a result, Europiaproject.eu will attempt to achieve as much of the AA level of accessibility as possible.

Accessibility Measures Implemented

Logical Order of Presentation: We have reorganized the arrangement of elements on the screen in a logical manner to ensure a consistent and understandable browsing experience.

Simplified Navigation: We have eliminated the use of complicated drop-down menus, making navigation and interaction easier for all our users.

Descriptive Text on Images: All images on our website are accompanied by descriptive text so that visually impaired users can understand the content of the images.

Keyboard Access: We have enabled navigation and interaction with our website via the keyboard, allowing people with motor disabilities to access the main options effectively.

Elastic Layout for Personalization

We have introduced an elastic layout that allows our users to customize the display of GreenTour.com to their preferences. They can adjust the display size as follows:

Using the Keyboard: In Internet Explorer, they can use the “Ctrl” key in conjunction with the mouse wheel. In Mozilla Firefox, they can use the “Ctrl” and “+” combinations to increase the size and “Ctrl” and “-” to decrease it.

Through the Browser Menu: We also offer the option to adjust the size through your browser menu. Simply go to “View” and select “Text Size.”

Link Improvements

We’ve improved the browsing experience with links as follows:

“Title” Attributes: Most links that don’t fully describe their destination have “title” attributes that provide additional clarification, making it easier to understand their function.

Removal of Javascript Pseudo-Links: We don’t use Javascript pseudo-links, ensuring that all links are fully functional in any browser, even if Javascript is disabled.

At https://www.europiaproject.eu, we are committed to web accessibility and will continue to work on continually improving our platform to ensure that all users have an inclusive and rewarding experience when accessing our information and services. We strongly believe in equal opportunities for all, and our focus on web accessibility is a testament to that commitment.
